Roberto Flores Prieto completed his schooling at the International School of Film and Television of San Antonio de los Baños, Cuba in 1986. His work as director includes the feature film Heridas (2006) and the documentary La Hija de la Luz (2010). In the genre of fiction, he has also directed Cazando Luciernagas (2013), the winning film of the Film Development Fund – FDC – selected in more than seven international festivals and winner of multiple awards: Best Actress, Directing, Screenplay and Photography in the Gramado Film Festival, Best Actor and the Audience Award at the Latin American Film Festival of Huelva. Ruido Rosa (2015), his third feature film, has been included in the International Film Festival of Shanghai and the International Film Festival of Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic. His fourth film as director is Vivo en el Limbo, produced by Dago Garcia Productions for Canal Caracol and he is currently working on several feature film projects with screenwriter Carlos Franco.
