Florence Jaugey

Florence Jaugey was born in Nice, France in 1959 and studied drama in Paris at the ENSATT (École Nationale Supérieure des Arts et Techniques du Théâtre). She settled down in Nicaragua at the end of the 80s and 1989, together with Frank Pineda a Nicaraguan filmmaker and her partner, they set up in Managua, Camila Films Production Company, an independent film company, directing and producing several short and documentary films, and one feature film La Yuma (2010). She was director of numerous documentaries, such as La Isla de los Ni- ños Perdidos (The Island of the Lost Children, 2001) Documentary – Winner of the Society of Authors Award at Cinéma du Réel, Paris (2004) ; De niña a Ma- dre (Girls to Mothers) Chapter 1and 2 (2004, 2007); Historia de Rosa (Rosa’s Story, 2005) ; Managua, Nicaragua is beautiful Town, 2008, El Engaño (Deceit, 2012) Short Documentary on human trafficking survivors, Días de Clase (School Days, 2013.)
