Dwight TenHuisen is Professor and Chair of the Spanish Department at Calvin College, where he has taught since 1996. In addition to teaching courses in Spanish language, Hispanic literatures and cultures, he has directed many semester programs in Spain and several month-long programs in Brazil. His PhD is in Comparative Literature, and his research focusses on early modern colonial literature in Spanish, German and Portuguese. Professor TenHuisen has published on early modern German, Portuguese and Spanish authors and their receptions in England, the Netherlands, and Germany. His current research project is a study of early modern Augustinian evangelization in Asia and the Americas. He is also a member of the GRLAFF organizing committee.
