Christopher A. McGrath is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Spanish at Hope College in Holland, Michigan and holds the PhD in Hispanic Cultural Studies from Michigan State University. His research and teaching focus on the literature and culture of the Hispanophone Caribbean and Latin America. His articles have appeared in the journals La Habana elegante and Notandum as well as in the volume of collected essays El sonido de la música en la narrativa dominicana (Santo Domingo: Instituto de Estudios Caribeños, 2012). In addition, his translations of poetry and short story have appeared in both journals and anthologies. He is also a member of the GRLAFF organizing committee.
